Have you heard the audible sound of God’s voice?

“…His voice was like the roar of rushing waters, and the land was radiant with his glory.”

Ezekiel 43:2

Is it a thunderous boom like crashing waves? Like the sound of rushing water washing over mountainous boulders exploding in cracks as it hits the bottom.

Or is it a gentle whisper like the sweet rain drops falling on the new spring grass beckoning in new life?

Or does it gurgle joyously like a creek splashing about as it cascades down, down, down through happy twists and turns.

Maybe it incessantly drips like a leaky faucet, a constant reminder in the background.

Or a familiar rain storm approaching from behind. One that lulls you into a peaceful sleep, the rain’s pitter patter enveloping you in unexplainable comfort amidst the low roll of thunder.

Jesus says He is the well of living water and all who drink from him will never thirst. Water is such an essential part of life. Jesus is life. I want to hear the audible voice of God, whether thunderous like crashing waves or sweet like summer rain. He is my everything. He is my all.

“If you knew the gift of God and who it is that asks you for a drink, you would have asked him and he would have given you living water…whoever drinks the water I give him will never thirst. Indeed, the water I give him will become in him a spring of water welling up to eternal life.” John 4
