Sometimes you need a reset.

C. S. Lewis once said, “The world does not need more Christian literature. What it needs is more Christians writing good literature.”

I don’t think I’ve been writing too well lately.

Do you ever feel like you just need a reset?

I’m feeling a bit inadequate and uninspired in my writing lately. I want nothing more than to encourage and help believers and non-believers alike, but I feel like my voice is falling flat.

I haven’t been practicing my writing as much as I should be doing and I feel like my writing style is suffering. This is not my best, and I want to give my best to God for His glory.

As it says in 1 Corinthians 10:31, “So, whatever you eat or drink, or whatever you do, do all to the glory of God.”

I think I need to take a little break from blogging and refocus my priorities. I feel I need to take more time for prayer and reading the Bible as nourishment, quietly reflecting on God’s character and love.

I don’t want to post every week if my writing is going to be less than mediocre. I am definitely feeling the pull of distraction and depression. But Isaiah 26:3 tells us, “You will keep the mind that is dependent on You in perfect peace, for it is trusting in You.”

I need to keep my mind focused on God and lean on Him during these times of downheartedness.

So, if you are reading this, I’ll be taking a little break from blogging. I want to focus on resting in God’s love. Praying without ceasing. And following the leadings of the Holy Spirit.

Are you feeling a little restless yourself? Do you need a break? Let’s pray for one another so that we can do all things for the Glory of God and do them well.

“Not to us, O Lord, not to us. But to Your name give glory Because of Your loving kindness, because of Your truth.” Psalm 115:1
